Alternatives to Women Postmenopausal Hormone Replacement Therapy

Hormone therapy (MHT), also known as menopausal hormone therapy (MHT), is a widely-used treatment for women going through menopause and helps alleviate symptoms like hot flushes, night sweats, fatigue, sleep disturbance, irritability and changes in libido. Alternatives to hormone therapy include acupuncture, herbs and dietary supplements. While some of these remedies can be purchased over-the-counter, others require a doctor’s prescription for purchase.
