Phrases like “anxiety attack” and “panic attack” are frequently used in casual conversation; however, it’s essential to recognize that these are two distinct conditions with distinct symptoms and treatments.

In extreme cases, doctors might suggest antidepressants or benzodiazepines as additional options.
