She loves sharing the pure and powerful sounds of Alchemy crystal singing bowls (made from many different gemstones, metals, and minerals from the earth and beyond) in sound healing sessions, along with the healing sounds of her harp and gong. How effective is sound healing?

Tuning forks are often used today for sound healing and can transmit vibrations to the body, DNA cells and the magnetic field. It brings balance and clarifies the mind and leads to a new sense of purpose, well-being, peace and happiness. Even without the science of sound vibrations, there is evidence that sound baths and music therapy can have healing effects, as they promote relaxation and put the body in a parasympathetic state. The participants lie down on mats on the floor in Savasana (corpse pose) and let themselves be flooded by the sound waves.

A study published in the Journal of Evidence-Based Integrative Medicine found that a one-hour sound meditation helped people reduce tension, anger, fatigue, anxiety, and depression while increasing feelings of spiritual well-being.

Is sound therapy legitimate?

Vibrations are measured in units of hertz (Hz), the same unit in which sound is measured. People hear frequencies from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, but that doesn’t mean that those outside the limits don’t affect us. Throughout history, music has been used to boost military troops’ morale, help people work faster and more productively, and even ward off evil spirits through chanting. Sound therapy should not only help with physical illnesses, but also help balance emotions and calm a busy mind. It was good to focus exclusively on what I could hear — what Anthar calls pure sound for a change.
