Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Depression

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is one of the most successful short-term, problem-focused therapies for depression and other conditions. It works by challenging your unhelpful thoughts, beliefs and behaviors with healthier ones; this process teaches you to think and act in more helpful ways so that you feel better and have more control over your life.

CBT therapists can work with you to address the following concerns: self-esteem and motivation issues, interpersonal skills, emotional regulation, anger management, stress reduction, depression and anxiety symptoms as well as posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), adolescent development issues; dealing with chronic illness/trauma; parenting techniques; adjustment issues; life transitions. Jennifer works with a wide range of clients from children and teens to adults.
