Depression Anxiety Stress Test

The Depression anxiety stress test is a tool that measures the intensity of stress and negative emotions. It can help you determine if you may have depression.

It uses three scale rating systems. Each one rates the difficulty in relaxing, feeling easily upset, and experiencing tension. These scales were designed to provide a more reliable way to evaluate mental health. Moreover, it was developed to meet the scientific requirements of researchers.

This test has been used by clinicians for nearly a decade. However, it does not give a definitive diagnosis. Therefore, a professional clinical assessment is required.

If you feel you may be depressed, it’s important to get help. You can find a local doctor or therapist. In addition, you can take the depression anxiety stress test to identify areas of your life where you are struggling.

To complete the test, you will answer a series of questions. For each question, you will be asked to rate your distress in a 4-point Likert scale. There are 42 questions in total. You will be given an overall score that indicates your generalised distress level.

The DASS-21 has been designed to examine anxiety, stress, and depression in adolescence. The subscales that are included in the test can also be used to measure the dimensions of these states.

Although the DASS-21 has good internal consistency, it lacks specificity across age groups. This means you should talk with a mental health professional before taking the test.
