What does sound healing do for the body?

And although sound healing has grown in popularity in recent years, it is a healing method that dates back a long way. The sound of a gong can be heard through the ears. It passes through the auditory nerve, then the vagus nerve and stimulates every organ in the body. Maman’s research in the 1980s at Jussieu University in Paris used cancer cells such as HeLa cells to test his theories about the effectiveness of sound healing and tuning forks. Some people experience deep healing during sound therapy as the sound vibrations open, clear and balance their chakras and release stuck energy.

Although the area of sound healing requires more scientific research to be accepted as a common practice, there is evidence that this practice is effective.

Is sound therapy legitimate?

Some sound healers claim that they allow listeners to expand awareness, repair DNA, or alter brainwave states, among other things. The American Music Therapy Association, a national organization, is a great resource for finding certified music and sound therapists wherever you are. Although evidence is limited for some methods, music therapy has been shown to be effective for reducing stress and relaxation and has been shown to provide many health benefits. Studies using EEG and various imaging techniques have shown that meditation can change brainwave activity, but sounds do not and cannot alter DNA.

And on YouTube, multi-hour videos tagged with sound therapy have received millions and millions of views.
