It’s believed that the small amount of light green emits causes a less intense response in your retina at the back of your eye, leading to an altered perception of discomfort.

A separate study revealed that green light could significantly reduce migraine patients’ pain intensity by up to 50%, improving their quality of life and decreasing headache frequency.

Migraine is a debilitating condition that affects nearly 12% of Americans, often accompanied by other debilitating symptoms like nausea, vomiting, dizziness and extreme sensitivity to sound or light. It makes daily tasks difficult and may necessitate taking time off work or school.

Drugs are an integral part of managing migraines, yet some patients don’t get adequate pain control or experience unpleasant side effects from medications. Green light therapy, however, can be a viable alternative to medication in both relieving pain and aiding sleep quality.
