Headspace Guide to Meditation

Headspace Guide to Meditation is a new series of animated episodes that provides an introduction to mindfulness techniques and their science. Each 20-minute episode highlights a different mindfulness technique, culminating in a guided meditation for added relaxation.

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the modern world, but mindfulness meditation can help you decompress and find peace. This growing movement has gained worldwide acceptance, with studies proving its benefits such as improved mental focus and reduced mind wandering.

If you’re new to meditation, Headspace offers courses on various topics like grieving, creativity and confidence-boosting. Additionally, they offer single programs–one-off meditations designed for stressful situations like preparing for a presentation or conquering pre-flight anxiety–to help address specific needs.

The app’s content is organized into four categories: Meditate, Move, Sleep and Focus. Each day, curated content from each of these categories will be showcased on the Today screen.

Meditating is an excellent way to reduce stress and boost focus, but it can be challenging to know how to find the perfect meditation for you. That’s why Headspace has created a series of short animated videos that explain the basics of meditation.

Andy Puddicombe, a former Buddhist monk and the narrator of Headspace, leads viewers through meditation using ancient techniques from around the world with his friendly yet engaging style. It’s easy to see how meditation can benefit you in his straightforward explanations.

Andy is a charismatic storyteller and provides scientific proof to support meditation practices. Not only does he inform you on the benefits of meditation, but his personal stories provide practical tips on how to apply mediation in everyday life.
