A powerful technique to resonate and balance your chakras using vowels. I received a booklet with these chakra toning techniques because I wasn’t feeling well at the time and couldn’t cry. This is a good exercise for every day and a great introduction to exploring the harmonics that occur naturally in vowels. Once you’ve become familiar with it, you could try adding additional tones, often called overtones, by opening your nasal passage at the same time.

For a good collection of references, I would suggest researching singing training, either for singers or for speech therapy.

Which chakra is responsible for the voice?

You can focus on one chakra at a time, or listen to two frequencies played together to create binaural beats. The throat chakra follows the root chakra, the sacral chakra, the solar plexus chakra and the heart chakra, followed by the third eye chakra and the crown chakra. There is a strong connection between the sacral chakra and the throat chakra — the center of expression. The throat chakra (also known as Vishuddha) is responsible for communication, self-expression, and the ability to speak your personal truth.

While the throat chakra is associated with silence, an imbalance in the opposite direction can be signaled by a tendency to talk too much or to wander on without a clear point.

What is muscle building in spirituality?

Toning is the production of extended vocal sounds on a single vowel to experience the sound and its effects in other parts of the body. While rhythm is used when chanting mantras and songs (also known to heal, open, and harmonize), voice toning is known for the fact that one tone per exhalation is constant. Toning, a form of sound healing, is the practice of producing vocal sounds over an extended period of time for therapeutic or meditative purposes. The following are three types of voice training that I love that can also be beneficial for yoga teachers or those whose voice is critical to their work.
