In general, sound baths are events in which groups of people gather to use sound specifically for healing purposes. For me, this means that I consciously choose to work with subtle sounds that only minimally influence my body and mind. The event will be designed to fully recharge your connection between mind, and body and to mobilize and access your resources for inner healing and expansion. There are times when louder and more rhythmic sounds are necessary, but this is also done very consciously.

For me, the fastest way to achieve harmony is to use sound, whether it’s my own voice or sounds from soothing instruments.

Can sound baths heal you?

Sound healing simply involves listening to a type of music and doesn’t require people to learn how to do it, such as in yoga or meditation. A sound bath can be easier than other meditative exercises as it doesn’t require much discipline or patience to learn how to do it, all you have to do is listen. Helen Lavretsky said that sound healing and music therapy have become increasingly popular because they are easy to perform. Remember that sound baths are not a substitute for medication or therapy from a licensed mental health professional when treating anxiety or depression.
