While the idea of music as a cure is as old as human civilization, music therapy first gained a foothold as a profession at the beginning of the 20th century to treat traumatized soldiers. Additionally, there are ways to heal, transform, and overcome whatever an individual needs to overcome and understand so you can start the second part of your life, which is getting back to who you are. What I find nice about therapy for myself and also for myself is overcoming childhood trauma or simply reducing growing anxiety. Movement and exercise can not only burn adrenaline and release endorphins, but also help repair your nervous system. Because trauma disrupts your body’s natural balance, movement and movement can help repair your nervous system.
