Instant Gallbladder Pain Relief
Most are familiar with the agonizing gall bladder condition known as biliary colic that occurs after eating a heavy meal or one that contains high amounts of fat. This is usually an acute attack of discomfort that lasts anywhere from several hours to four hours.
If the pain is accompanied by fever, chills or vomiting, seek immediate medical help and go to the emergency room. These symptoms could indicate inflammation in your liver or post-cholecystectomy syndrome (up to 40% of people experience this after gallbladder removal surgery).
A heat pack or hot water bottle that is applied directly on to the gall bladder can help ease discomfort. Apply it at intervals of half an hour for best results.
Make Flaxseed Tea: Boiling two cups of water with one tablespoon of flaxseed seeds has been found to improve gallbladder health and help prevent gallstones.
Psyllium Husk: Eating psyllium husk may help prevent gallstones and improve bile flow in the gallbladder.
Eating Healthily: Eating a diet low in fat and high in fiber helps keep your gallbladder healthy. Eating plenty of nutrient-rich fruits, vegetables, and whole grains can also be beneficial.
Be mindful of foods that could form gallstones: Fried and fatty foods, high-fat salad dressings, and other high-fat condiments may lead to blockage in the ducts leading from your gallbladder to small intestine.
