What is sound healing meditation?

It has been practised for thousands of years to realign body vibrations, improve psychological problems and emotional well-being, or even ward off evil spirits (chanting). Sounds not only help induce relaxation, but can also move through blocked areas. The participants lie down on mats on the floor in Savasana (corpse pose) and let themselves be flooded by the sound waves. In practice, this means that your brainwave frequencies synchronize with the frequencies produced by sound healing instruments.

If you don’t want to see a specialist to reap the wonderful benefits of sound healing therapy, you’ll be happy to learn that it’s one of the easiest practices you can repeat at home.

What happens during sound healing?

The practitioner can use various instruments to create the natural vibrations that resonate with the body and create a sense of balance, peace, and harmony. Sound therapy was very popular in ancient Greece, when music was often used to treat or even cure mental disorders. This is the principle that causes the body to vibrate at the same frequency as the sounds made by crystal bowls, gongs, tuning forks, and other sound healing instruments. Music therapy is often practiced with a naturopath and can take various forms, from guided meditations to dance to sound baths.

It uses special sound frequencies to create a therapeutic atmosphere that promotes deep peace, nervous system balance, and emotional relaxation.
