Migraine talk therapy entails learning and using new behaviors to manage migraine headaches. Other methods to prevent migraines involve eating healthier and getting enough rest. This involves creating a consistent sleep schedule, eating meals at set intervals, and avoiding foods that could trigger an attack of migraines.

If you suspect a chronic condition may be causing your headaches, get a CT scan or blood test to look for tumors, infection, brain damage or bleeding in the brain. While these tests are costly, they will help your doctor identify and treat the underlying issue.

Biofeedback, relaxation techniques and meditation can all be utilized as forms of migraine therapy. These practices teach you how to unwind, regulate your breathing and lessen the physical response to stress which could otherwise cause a migraine attack.

These techniques can be employed either alone or in combination with medication to help prevent migraines. Furthermore, they may reduce the side effects of certain drugs commonly prescribed for migraine prevention.

It also important to make a list of foods that trigger migraines and set goals for a more balanced diet; this way, you can enjoy certain dishes in moderation while improving overall wellbeing.
