Water Sound Therapy

Water sound therapy is a method of using natural sounds. It can relieve stress, and help people relax. The American Psychological Association supports sound therapy.

Some of the benefits of water sound therapy include improved sleep, reduced stress, and better mood. Sound is also a good way to get in touch with your own mind.

This study was conducted to investigate whether natural sounds could moderate the effect of a stress task. To test this, 60 healthy women were randomly allocated to three conditions. These included listening to no auditory stimulus, listening to relaxing music, and listening to water sounds. They were also tested for somatic complaints.

There were no significant differences in cortisol AUCI sensitivity in all three groups. However, participants in the high cortisol group showed significantly higher skin and sensory complaints. Moreover, they scored significantly higher in the FBL total score.

In addition, this study found that somatic complaints can hinder a person’s attention to a relaxing stimulus. While this may not affect everyone, those with more somatic complaints may benefit less from this type of sound therapy.

Natural sound therapies are gaining popularity as doctors and other health practitioners experiment with them. Studies have found that low-frequency sound stimulation alleviates pain and fibromyalgia symptoms.

The water element is a key component of the human body. It keeps us hydrated, and helps our bodies to flush out toxins. Many cultures in ancient East believe that sounds can rejuvenate the body.
