Listening can inspire creative people and art lovers alike in their practice and in their daily lives. Sound Healing Arts is about bringing acceptance, kindness, and joy back into your life.
Sound Healing Arts is about bringing acceptance, kindness, and joy back into your life. After college, I began studying meditation and found that sound healing was a natural progression of my interest in helping people, music, and meditation.
What does sound healing do?
Sound healing is the use of specific instruments, music, sounds, and other sound vibrations to balance and heal the body, mind, and spirit. Sound helps you find your way to this place of silence, just as a mantra helps you get to the stillness point of meditation. Add to that the fact that the sound healing industry isn’t exactly regulated, and you’ll find plenty of practitioners surrounded by singing bowls and promising all kinds of high standards. In this place of silence, you participate by becoming more open and aware of every sound that comes in.
The same concept is used in meditation by regulating the breath, but in the case of sound, it is the frequency that influences the shift.
What are examples of healing arts?
Brennan Healing Science is the practice of healers who have completed the four-year Healing Science course at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing. It increases qi and body fluids when they are exhausted and restores their smooth and healthy flow. Herbal medicine refers to a variety of practices that attempt to use plants and herbs to heal conditions or complement medical treatments. Most report that they feel very relaxed and peaceful, and it is not unusual for them to fall asleep during treatment.
Instead, a Marma therapist uses pressure, vibration, and herbal oils to open blocked energy pathways.
