Sound therapy can be a successful tinnitus treatment and can alleviate the condition as it creates new nerve pathways in your brain and helps the inner ear mechanism heal. During resonance training, both the therapist and the patient can check whether there is a resonant movement of the skull by touching the trigger point of the nose bridge, the temporomandibular joint of the cheek and the neck muscle. If your tinnitus is associated with permanent hearing loss, whether conductive, sensorineural, or a combination of these, hearing aids may be recommended in conjunction with sound therapy.
