These waves are produced by various sources, including healing instruments such as gongs, singing bowls, drums, chimes, rattles, tuning forks, and even the human voice itself. They can provide profound healing benefits for a range of people, which is why it is not uncommon for sound therapy to appear in rehabilitation facilities and other treatment centers in general. But an introduction to the history of sound therapy still doesn’t tell you what a sound bath is. That was exactly what I wanted to know before I attended my first session. What does a sound bath do to your body?

Remember that sound baths are not a substitute for medication or therapy from a licensed mental health professional when treating anxiety or depression. They are often used to reduce stress, but sound baths can be used for many purposes, including to induce sleep, relax, increase creativity, and spiritual development. The sounds flood your mind and body and brings you into a deeper state of consciousness, for example during meditation. The soothing sounds of a gong and the 12 metal singing bowls filled the air and all the guests left visibly relaxed, with an aura of humble peace all around them.

It is an acoustic sound healing journey that allows the listener to enter a meditative state and feel calm, relaxed, grounded, and focused.
