While much more research needs to be done to replicate and expand on the results of recent studies on sound healing, the field is moving in a positive direction. According to recent research, one of the most promising applications of sound healing is in the area of stress relief. It usually starts with Tibetan tingshas, also known as healing bells or cymbals. They produce low-frequency sounds which, like meditation, are intended to calm and focus the brain. The loudness of sound is measured in decibels (dB), while the frequency or magnitude of waves is measured in a unit called Hertz (Hz). The higher the number of heart values, the higher the tone.

What is sound massage therapy?

Cossette’s most important advice for massage therapists who are interested in adding sound healing to their sessions is to choose their instruments carefully.
