Is sound healing effective?

Sound healing is the use of specific instruments, music, sounds, and other sound vibrations to balance and heal the body, mind, and spirit. Add to that the fact that the sound healing industry isn’t exactly regulated, and you’ll find plenty of practitioners surrounded by singing bowls and promising all kinds of high standards. Sound healing therapy works by using specific healing frequencies to target different areas of the body. And sound baths, which have popped up across the country in recent years, are a cool way to meditate and alleviate anxiety, but sound therapy isn’t just about those mental wellbeing benefits.

Many people find that after practicing sound healing techniques, they experience an increase in energy, improved mental clarity, more creativity, and better relationships.

Who invented sound healing?

Sound therapy has been around since the beginning of recorded history, the oldest surviving scriptural texts tell us this, and science could finally keep pace with the sound healing practices of ancient civilizations.
